FAQs
How often should I have my chimney swept?
We recommend sweeping at least once a year for most appliances. If you use your fire or stove regularly, particularly in winter, twice a year may be safer—especially for wood burners and open fires.
Are you fully qualified and insured?
Yes. We are fully insured and accredited by both NACS (National Association of Chimney Sweeps) and HETAS. All our work comes with a NACS certificate, which is recognised by most home insurance providers.
What does a standard chimney sweep involve?
We use a modern rotary power sweeping system to safely remove soot and creosote. We then carry out a smoke test and provide a NACS certificate for your records and insurance purposes.
Do you remove bird nests from chimneys?
Absolutely. We’re trained and equipped to remove bird nests safely and thoroughly. We also offer CCTV imaging to ensure the flue is completely clear afterwards.
Can you fit cowls or bird guards?
Yes. We supply and install a variety of cowls, bird guards, and chimney caps to protect your chimney from wildlife and weather damage.
What areas do you cover?
We cover most of Surrey, West Sussex, and Hampshire—including Haslemere, Hindhead, Liphook, Midhurst, Petworth, Farnham, Cranleigh, and surrounding villages.
Tim and Phil cover diffierent areas. Check your area here.
Will it make a mess in my home?
Not at all. We use professional-grade sheets, clean up after every sweep, and treat your home with the same care we would our own.
How long does a chimney sweep take?
A typical chimney or stove sweep takes around 45–60 minutes, depending on access and condition. We'll always advise in advance if we think more time is needed.
Do you offer inspections or surveys?
Yes. We offer internal CCTV chimney inspections and external drone roof surveys—ideal if you’re buying, selling, or have concerns about blockages or damage.
How do I book an appointment?
Just give us a call or use our online booking page. We’ll confirm your appointment and provide all the details you need ahead of the visit.
